Members of the Board of Trustees


Ann Delazaro - co-coordinator
Ann DeLazaro is a Sales Executive for Valassis, Inc., of Livonia, Michigan. Previously, she was employed by National Cinema Network as the Sales Director for the Southeast U.S. and prior to that, she was the Director of the Center for Lifelong Learning at Cedar Crest College, where she was also an Adjunct Instructor in the Business Department.

She is a graduate of West Chester University and has taken graduate courses at Lehigh University and West Chester University.

Community involvements: a former Chair of the Allentown Human Relations Commission, former Board member of the Executive Women's Council of the Allentown Lehigh County Chamber, former Board member of the Allentown Morning Call's "Lehigh Valley Women" and former member of the PA Governor's "Women in Business Mentor Program". Since relocating back to the Lehigh Valley, she is very anxious to put her energy into the community and Seven Generations Charter School.

Her interests are any outdoor sports, politics and music.

Ann and her family reside in Zionsville, PA.

Pia Allport - co-coordinator
Pia Allport has a BA in English Literature from Swarthmore College and a Masters in Social Service from Bryn Mawr. Pia is a licensed social worker with a background in school social work and is currently working as the Director of Social Work Services for an adoption agency. She is the mother of three.

Christopher Sten - treasurer
Chris Sten is a Consultant for Jefferson Wells in Treasury/Finance Operations based out of Philadelphia. He holds a BA in Biology from Columbia College and a MBA Finance/Accounting from Columbia Graduate School of Business. Chris is a father of five and lives with his family in Upper Milford.

Dee Lewis - secretary
Deanne Lewis holds a BS from Manfield University of Pennsylvania. She pursued graduate studies in early childhood education at the State University of New York at Buffalo. Dee taught high school home economics in various school districts and taught preschool in private and agency centers. She developed, coordinated and taught the Kindergarten at the Rodale Child Care Center for 17 years, and is currently substitute teaching at Rodale. Dee is the mother of two and the grandmother of one.

Ken Burak
Ken Burak holds a PhD in Philosophy from DePaul University. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Northampton Community College. He is the father of two.

Camilla Greene
Camilla Greene is an African American female who has made a personal and professional commitment to teach and learn from diverse students in public high schools in urban and suburban areas in the US. For over twenty-five years she was a teacher of English in New York and Connecticut high schools. For most of her professional teaching career she has been team teaching in a Coalition of Essential Schools High School in Stamford, Connecticut. Camilla took a two year leave from teaching to work as a Senior Associate for the Collaborative for Urban Excellence at the Annenberg Institute for School Reform at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. On another leave from teaching, she helped to open and direct a small charter school in Fairfield, Connecticut. Additionally, Mrs. Greene was the Director of Critical Friends Group Training at the Center for Effective School Practices at Rutgers University in New Jersey. In 2002, Camilla Greene retired from classroom teaching and became an educational consultant. As a National Facilitator, she co-facilitates across difference Anti-racist Leadership Training, and Equity-Based Critical Friends Group Training for educators in small public and private charter schools, large comprehensive high schools and small religious schools.

Her lifetime goal has been to transform the educational experiences for each student in public high schools, and in private and religious schools.

Camilla Greene is a proud, native New Yorker: born and raised in Brooklyn's Bedford-Stuyvesant community; She is also a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Degrees: BA in English/Secondary Ed, Ma in Educational Counseling, Advanced Studies Certificate in Special Education from St. John's University, Jamaica, NY and Fairfield University, Fairfield, CT.

Lisa Neyen
Lisa Neyen holds a BS in Computer Science and an MBA. Lisa has helped create technology start-up firms for 20 years and has completed graduate work in Environmental Engineering. Lisa is the mother of three.

Seven Generations Charter School (SGCS), www.sevengen.org, located in Emmaus, PA, offers an innovative educational alternative to traditional public education. SGCS strives for excellence in all academic subject areas and the fine arts, while also focusing on sustainable living principles, including environmental stewardship and respect for all living things.

The SGCS Board of Trustees, working together with the school community, monitors school progress toward meeting the student achievement and other objectives agreed to in the charter contract, budget approval, school-wide policies, strategic planning, charter school administrator appraisal and support.

Specific areas including law, education, environmental leadership and a passion for Seven Generations mission and values could be of value to the Board.
