Kelly Baughman
Kelly Baughman

Kelly Baughman was raised in Marlboro, New Jersey, and earned a dual elementary education and psychology degree from Rutgers University. After graduating from college, she spent six years teaching first grade in New Jersey and West Virginia. She and her husband moved to Pennsylvania after the birth of their first child, where she spent time at home raising her three beautiful daughters, ages 12, 10, and 8. She returned to teaching preschool at St. Andrew’s Nursery School then joined Seven Generations’ staff as one of its first kindergarten teachers in 2009.

In her free time, Kelly loves being with her family and traveling in the summer. She enjoys listening to music, reading, doing arts and crafts and watching reality TV. Contact Kelly Baughman at kelly.baughman@sevengen.org.

Jeannine Schroeder
Jeannine Schroeder

Jeannine Schroeder graduated from Stony Brook University with a Bachelor’s degree in environmental science. She began her career as an education coordinator for the Long Island Pine Barrens Society, leading student hikes, teaching lessons and preparing programs for schools. She loved it so much that she pursued a Master’s degree in education (Cabrini College) so she would never have to leave the classroom. After her studies, she taught biology, French and science in Philadelphia; served as a Learning Support Aide and was head counselor for four and five-year-olds at The Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education Nature Ramblers camp. Then she discovered Seven Generations, where she has been sharing her enthusiasm for the natural world since 2009.

Jeannine has a dog named Luke and two brothers who live in Kansas City and San Diego. She fell in love with French culture and good food during an immersion program in Anneçy, France, but her other interests often take her outdoors: hiking, biking, kayaking, camping, cross-country skiing and concert-going. When she slows down, she loves helping and spending time with animals. Contact Jeannine Schroeder at jeannine.schroeder@sevengen.org.

What is it like to teach at Seven Generations?
Teaching at Seven Gen is a dream for me. I became a teacher to expose children to the beauty in nature and the people around them. Teaching here is empowering, motivating and fun!
